Growing Large Plants Indoors

Hi there,

My name is Jan, aka ‘SydneyPlantGuy’. That little cutie next to me is my cat Brad (he likes to steal the show in my youtube videos)

I live in beautiful Sydney, Australia. Some time in 2018 I started growing indoor plants & it escalated very, very quickly. I love growing aroids (Monsteras, Philodendron, Anthuriums, Pothos etc), specifically climbing aroids using Moss Poles.

My goal is to grow my plants into large statement pieces I can decorate my apartment with. To me, plants are artworks! But don’t get me wrong, it’s not just about growing plants as large as possible. It’s all about the journey & the joy that plants bring me & I’m hoping to share my passion & joy for growing plants with you.

Proof is in the pudding - I am no horticulturalist or botanist - I’m just a hobby grower. I like to pay close attention to my plants to really understand what they need. As part of that, I like to experiment & most of my learning came from trial & error.

I love to create content that is informative but fun. I like to share my lessons learnt with others & at the same time, motivate & inspire them to pick up this beautiful and rewarding hobby themselves.
